Company Profile

From an evolutionary perspective, the human body was built for mobility. We have innate abilities to perform survival-based tasks like running, jumping, lifting, throwing, and crawling without injury. When we add resistance, controlled energy intake and proper sleep, our body will answer by growing lean muscles to adapt our bodies and become stronger.

Our training isn't easy but our universal scalability principles allow anyone who is committed to real fitness to benefit from the proven time-tested improvements our methods deliver.

The Primal doors opened on October 3rd, 2009 in a small 900 sq ft facility. Since our inception, Primal Athletics has grown into a 4200 Sq Ft facility with over 300 athletes training weekly. We get results ... PERIOD!. All of our athletes have seen dramatic improvements in their bodies, minds and lives since we opened. We average over 1000 lbs lost per year.

We thank you all for being part of this journey and pursuing this dream. Together, we have created a community that fosters optimum fitness in a fun, warm, and mutually encouraging atmosphere.

We strive for full-spectrum fitness that extends beyond building strength and burning fat to include a wide range of physical abilities; from modern everyday movements, basic gymnastics, weightlifting, jumping and running to the primal hunter-gatherer competencies encoded in our genes.

In our facility you won’t find saunas, towel service, or machines with padded seats. Instead, you’ll find barbells, kettlebells, ropes, pull up bars, plenty of chalk, and a close community of like-minded women and men whose pursuit is to forge the Athlete within.

Atuk (our Logo)

Atuk

Deep within the forest of Northern Ontario is the largest known concentration of Aboriginal rock carvings in Canada. Carved into the white marble rock hundreds of years ago are the Canadian petroglyphs. In the spirit of our ancestors and the philosophy of Primal Athletics, Atuk the warrior is born. He is the symbol of Primal Athletics. He is our grandfathers, grandfather. He is the hunter, a survivalist; he is strong, brave and courageous! He is what all of our athletes at Primal Athletics strive to be.
